The real reason

Work comp pays well. So why does everyone avoid it?

Because nobody trained you for the business of the case. You learned to treat the injury — not to run the claim. So work comp feels like a headache instead of the edge it could be.

×

Documentation that gets denied

You chart like it's a regular ortho patient, and the reviewer cuts your visits.

×

Cases that never close

No discharge target, no return-to-work plan — the claim just drifts and drags.

×

Adjuster calls you dread

Nobody taught you how to talk to adjusters and case managers, so you don't.

×

The patient who won't progress

Rehab stalls, and you're not sure whether to push, refer, or hold the line.

The playbook

Meet Work Comp Confident

An eight-module, self-paced course that teaches the part no FCE certification covers: how to manage a work-comp case start to finish — the documentation, the return-to-work clock, the adjuster relationships, the stalled case, and the clean close. Built around the clinical work you already do well, so work comp becomes the payer you want, not the one you avoid.

0

Work comp is a different game

The players — worker, employer, adjuster, case manager, payor, attorney — and the return-to-work clock that drives everything.

1

The first visit that sets the case up to win

Intake, functional baseline, and matching to job demands — the start that builds your whole documentation trail.

2

Documentation that gets paid

Objective, job-referenced measures and medical necessity — how to write notes that survive review.

3

Progressing toward return-to-work

Work conditioning tied to the job, and documenting demonstrated abilities so the physician can update restrictions on time.

4

Working the relationships

Talking to adjusters and nurse case managers — the calls that actually move a case forward.

5

When rehab stalls

The complex patient — plateaus, yellow flags, chronic pain, and the judgment calls: when to escalate, refer, or hold.

6

Closing the case clean

Discharge planning, utilization discipline, and the FCE / return-to-full-duty handoff.

Bonus: Becoming the clinic they refer to

How a work-comp-fluent clinic earns adjuster and employer referrals — and a better payer mix.

Every module ends with a one-page tool you keep — a documentation checklist, a demonstrated-abilities note template, an adjuster-call script, a stalled-case checklist, a discharge checklist. The playbook you'll actually use on Monday.

★ The founder's promise

If the founding cohort doesn't fill to 15, everyone gets refunded in full and I don't build it — simple as that. And if you go through the course and it doesn't make you more confident running a work-comp case, tell me and I'll make it right. The risk is mine, not yours.

Who's teaching this
I'm not a consultant who read about work comp. I ran it — for 25 years.

I'm Christopher Torres, PT, DPT. I spent 25 years directing multi-clinic outpatient orthopedic and work-comp operations — the clinics on the receiving end of these claims. I've written the notes, made the adjuster calls, coached the therapists, and closed the cases. I know exactly where clinicians lose money and time on work comp, because I watched it happen and fixed it.

This course is the training I wish someone had handed me on day one — the case-management game, taught by someone who's actually played it.

Questions

Before you claim a seat

Does it offer CEU credit?

Not in v1 — this is practical, use-it-Monday training. CEU accreditation is on the roadmap and founding members will hear about it first.

When do I get the course?

The full course is delivered roughly 6–8 weeks after the founding cohort closes, dripped module by module as each is finished — so you start learning before it's all done.

Is it for PTs only?

No — it's built for PTs, OTs, and ATCs working in outpatient work comp. The case-management principles apply across all three.

What if I'm newer to work comp?

Perfect fit. It starts with how work comp actually works and builds to running a case start to finish.

What's your refund policy?

If the cohort doesn't reach 15 members, you're refunded in full and it isn't built. After launch, if it doesn't deliver, tell me and I'll make it right.
